SANCTIONS IN SPORTS MATTERS IN CAMEROON

Any organizer of sports events or competitions who do not take out a specific insurance policy to cover the risks incurred in the context of the activities organized is liable to a fine of between five million (5,000,000) and ten million (10,000,000) CFA francs.

In the event of a repeat offense, the fine provided for the paragraph above is doubled. The dissolution of the structure may, in this case, be pronounced by the Minister in charge of sports.

Any person who acts as a representative of an athlete or a group of athletes without holding a federal “Manager” license shall be punished by a prison sentence of between six (6) months and one (1) year and a fine of between five million (5,000,000) and ten million (10,000,000) CFA francs, or by one of these two penalties only.
