REGISTRATION ON THE ROLL OF THE ORDER OF PHARMACIST IN CAMEROON

(CONDITIONS FOR ELIGIBILITY)

The role of the Order is kept up to date by the Council of the Order and is regularly communicated to the supervisory authority, the prefectures, and the public prosecutors’ offices.


The role comprises seven (7) divisions
Division A: pharmacists in pharmacies;
Division B: manufacturing pharmacists;
Division C: wholesale pharmacists;
Division D: pharmacists in private hospitals;
Division E: assistant pharmacists;
Division F: biologist pharmacists;
Division G: public service pharmacists.


The conditions for registration on the roll of the Order are as follows:


(a) To be of Cameroonian nationality and enjoy his/her civic rights;

(b) have reached the age of majority;

 (c) Hold a State diploma or a provisional certificate of qualification as a pharmacist or any other diploma recognized as equivalent by the competent authority at the time of the deposit of the file;

(d) Not to have been convicted of any offense contrary to probity (theft, embezzlement of public funds, fraud, breach of trust, forgery, and use of forgeries) or offenses against morality;
(e) Has not been declared bankrupt or placed in a state of judicial liquidation;

(f) for a foreign candidate, not to have been struck off the roll in his/her country of origin or another country.


Two copies of applications for registration on the roll of the Order must be submitted to the Council of the Order against a receipt.
The Council of the Order is required to decide on the application for registration on the roll of the Order within thirty (30) days from the date of submission of the file.
Any decision of the Council of the Order on an application for registration on the roll of the Order must be submitted for prior approval to the supervisory authority on the first working day following the decision.

The regulatory authority has thirty (30) days to make its decision. After this period, the decision of the Council of the Order becomes enforceable and must be notified to the applicant.

In all cases, after ninety (90) days from the date of submission of the application, the failure of the Order of the Council to respond shall constitute acceptance of the applicant’s application and his automatic registration on the roll of the Order. Reasons must be given for any decision of rejection.
