EXIT VISAS IN CAMEROON

Exit visas are classified in accordance with decree No. 2007/255/PM of 4 September 2007 fixing the modalities for the application of Law No. 97/012 of 10th January 1997 relative to the conditions of entry, stay and exit of foreigners in Cameroon into the following;

SIMPLE EXIT VISA

The simple exit visa is, subject to the provisions of article 54 (2) (however, upon request of the judicial authorities or of the ministers in charge of finance, of the superior control of the state, of labour and/or social welfare, of posts and telecommunications, the exit visas may be suspended for any foreigner in breach of the laws and regulations in force) below, granted to a foreigner who leaves the national territory definitively.

THE EXIT AND RETURN VISA

The exit and return visa can be granted to foreigners admitted for residence or as residents, who apply for it. Its validity does not exceed three months.

THE THREE MONTHS VISA

The three-month exit visa with several exits and entries may be granted to foreigners admitted for residence or residents, who apply for it and whose residence permit is valid for more than three months.

THE SIX MONTHS VISA

The six-month exit visa with several exits and entries is issued upon agreement of the delegate general for national security to foreigners admitted for residence or as residents, who have left the territory at least three times during the year preceding the application and whose residence permit is valid for more than six months.

THE ONE-YEAR VISA

The one-year exit visa with several exits and entries is issued upon agreement of the delegate general for national security to the foreigner admitted for residence or as a resident who has made at least four exits from the territory during the year preceding the application and whose residence permit is valid for more than one year.
